2008 Tennessee Music Education Association
State Music Conference

INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING TO PERFORM
Type or print the information in the spaces provided. Use an X to mark responses to be checked.

Eligibility:
Directors must be current members of MENC at time of application and time of performance.

RECORDING SPECIFICATION:
Each application for performance must be accompanied by a recording on superior quality cassette stereo tape or CD. The recording should be 10-15 minutes in length and should include three selections of contrasting styles from either 2004-05 or 2005-06.

Request:
PLEASE BEGIN WITH YOUR MOST MUSICAL PERFORMANCE. (No reel-to-reel tapes will be accepted.)
MAIL this completed application together with your audition tape or CD, to:

DEADLINE:
All postmarks must be ON OR BEFORE July 1, 2007.

Note:
If the director does not receive a call or e-mail confirming receipt of application, please call or e-mail the Auditions Chair - 615 896-0110; aymettm@rcs.k12.tn.us.

Notification:
The groups selected to perform on the 2008 State Music Conference will be notified by mid-October, 2007. Applicants who are selected will receive instructions for providing appropriate photos, bio materials, and other related information.

Responsibility:
It is understood that TMEA will not assume any financial responsibility for travel, food, lodging, or any related expense for the performing groups. This application implies that the applying group, if accepted, is prepared to travel and perform at the TMEA Conference and will provide appropriate photos, bio materials, and related information as requested.
